the world as you know it.

i wonder what our society/current age will be known for. i mean you really do have to wonder. we look back at other ages as "the revolutionary age" etc.
but what will generations after us look at us as? the people that were scared to death that the world was going to end? granted, every society has this, i mean cmon the disciples were waiting on jesus to come back within their lifetimes.
think about how many movies you have seen in the last ten years that has been about the world falling into a huge chaotic circus and falling to pieces, society coming to a collapse, technology being wiped away and no one remembering what important things we achieved in our lifetimes?
you say, hold up there buddy, we are the strongest force known to man, we are dominating the planet and we are the revolutionaries for a technology driven world.
funny thing is, the societys that you learned about in elementary/middle school that you don't remember anything about? we could be even less than that.
its kinda funny to think that the generations/nations before us are learned about from digging around in their trash. can you picture someone doing that for us in a thousand years? digging through our landfills finding plastic bottles and learning that it was where we kept our water?
strange concept much....
try to wrap your brain around this. and yes its completely hypothetical and me trying to think outside of the american dream "box" that we live in.
speaking of which did you know other countries have posters making fun of the way americans think hanging around their countries? i learned this today. they have painting of over weight zombies with backwards hats munching on mcdonalds. sorry. rabbit trail. back to where we were...
when hitler came into power he had major thinkers of the time killed, professors, teachers, historians, basically anyone with an education that thought outside of the box.
ever wondered how we have all the current knowledge of the nazi regime if he killed everyone that would take a record of it?
answer. they documented all of it, the clips of video that we see is nazi video footage...
yes we have historians, but alot of our current history is based off of verbal accounts of what happened true?
what will they look at for us? very few artifacts are found from former civilizations that were written on print, cave drawings, as much that is documented on print and on the internet, we really have nothing more. can you imagine that everything that we use today will one day be gone, and only a few remains will tell those what we were.
kinda spacy. but it was my random thoughts of the day.
